For dogs over the age of 10, every six months is best.<\/p>\n<p>* Not getting pet insurance.<br>\nIt often covers the cost of accidents, and also the pet\u2019s checkups and any related medicine, and often loss of the pet (a must for show dogs) and protection in case Fido or even Fifi the cat does any damage.
